Creator Clash you ask? It’s a YouTube creators boxing extravaganza held May 14, 2022 in Tampa, FL at the Yuengling Center. Think Celebrity Boxing but the niche is YouTube personalities, many of whom actually trained the sweet science. Dad was the reason I discovered Creator Clash. I stumbled across a video in my YouTube feed titled “Dad boxes Matt Watson” or something similar. The thumbnail was of an older, balding guy in pink boxing trunks. I clicked it thinking it was some angry Dad about to fight his daughter’s boyfriend. That was not so.

Who Are These People?

Dad and his Creator Clash opponent Matt Watson are YouTube content producers. You can click on their names to discover the type of material they vlog about. The participants in Creator Clash have tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands to millions of subscribers. Now I have heard of Mr. Beast (who did not participate) and Graham Stephan (who did box at this event). Mr. Beast publishes outrageous and riveting YouTube videos where he gives away obscene sums of money to ordinary folks who often have to do extraordinary (but not always) things. Graham Stephan is a YouTube personality who offers sage and interesting financial advice. Graham lost his match with Michael Reeves but both acquitted themselves well.

Still, almost all the others at the event were unknown to me before I clicked on Dad’s boxing video. Dad’s brutal KO of Matt Watson led to me clicking other fights that occured that night. Most of these bouts did not disappoint. The majority of the YouTube creators had obviously trained for their boxing matches, except Matt Watson of course (just watch the fight video elsewhere on this page).
